IMPORTANT TABRIZ RUG (Iran) circa 1970. Wool velvet on cotton foundation. Slight wear in the center. Ruby field with foliage and garlands of flowers in polychrome, adorned with a central floral rosette inlaid with multicolored flowers. Four spandrels echo the central field. Seven borders, the main one midnight blue with interlacing stylized flowers and foliage. Dimensions: 390 x 297 cm
