SILK GHOUM RUG (Iran) circa 1975. Density about 10,000 knots per dm2. Good condition. Silk velvet on silk foundation. Slight edge wear. Ruby field with scrolls and garlands of flowers, adorned with a central starry rosette in midnight blue, ivory and old rose. Four ivory spandrels echoing the central field. Seven borders, the main one midnight-blue with interlacing floral bulbs in polychrome. Dimensions: 150 x 100 cm
