Adrien BARRERE (1874-1931). Caricature of Maître Maurice Garçon (1889-1967), lawyer. India ink and graphite, the head on a sheet of paper. Signed with the stamp of the signature in bottom on the right. 38 x 25,5 cm. A talented lawyer, Maurice Garçon was also an essayist, lyricist, novelist, polygraphist and French historian. He is best known for having defended a large number of cases, both literary and criminal, notably those of René Hardy, Georges Arnaud, Jean Genet and Jean-Jacques Pauvert.
