CÉLINE (Louis-Ferdinand Destouches, known as Louis-Ferdinand - Lot 293
CÉLINE (Louis-Ferdinand Destouches, known as Louis-Ferdinand). Autograph letter signed and autograph list. [Probably January 1958].
- Autograph letter signed "Destouches" to a "dear Sir". Meudon, "the 23/1". "Here is the list of people to whom I would like the record to be sent as soon as possible..." (1 p. in-8 in red ballpoint pen, letterhead printed at his Meudon address).
- Autograph list. It gathers 38 nominative addresses, certainly for the persons who counted the most for him at this date. We note among others the names of Jean-Louis Tixier-Vignancour, Robert Poulet, Jean Paulhan, Henri Mahé, Henri Mondor, Pierre Monnier, Gaston Gallimard, Paul Chambrillon, Marie Canavaggia, Robert Coquillaud dit Robert Le Vigan, Marcel Aymé, Arletty, Marie Bell (11 ff. in-folio in red ballpoint pen).
IT IS PROBABLY THE DISC LOUIS FERDINAND CELINE SPEAKS TO YOU, recorded in October 1957, on which also appear extracts from Voyage and Mort à crédit read by Arletty and Pierre Brasseur. Céline had already published a first disc in 1956, on which were two songs recorded by himself (in March of that year) and excerpts from Voyage and Mort à crédit read by Arletty and Michel Simon.
