Italy, late 19th century after LYSIPUS (-390/-306). Hermes at rest. Bronze group with brown patina on a grey marble rock. H: 29 cm (accident to the hand). The subject, attributed to Lysippus, is known from the replicas made by the Romans during the Empire. A copy is kept in the Archaeological Museum of Naples.
